Bonang Matheba and Toke Makinwa have a good friendship.
Although they live in different countries on the African continent, they still make time for each other whenever they can.
Speaking to Pulse Nigeria, Bonang said they've been spending a lot of time together. "We speak via text all the time when she's in South Africa, or I come up to Nigeria to see her," she said in a video.
She told the publication that the Nigerian media personality gave her her Nigerian name, Adebimpe. On how that came about, Bonang explained: "It's very interesting, actually. A friend of mine, a very good friend of mine Toke, gave me that name a couple of weeks ago. She was in South Africa shooting a television show."

Bonang said Toke told her she needs a Nigerian name because a part of her is "very Nigerian".
"And then she gave me, you know, Adebimpe. Everybody at home calls me 'Abe' because no one really knows how to pronounce it."
She explained that the name means 'the crown is complete'.
She added: "Everyone at home calls me 'Bonang Queen B, the queen of the South African entertainment industry' so, perfect fit I guess."
