There have been a number of studies launched into whether or not people choose partners who look like them or if they start to look like each other after a while.

American website Bustle reported that this is actually a thing. According to them, "science has declared that, indeed, the longer you're with a long-term partner, the more you resemble each other."

There is even a term for it. It is called 'convergence of appearance,' but the researchers haven't yet been able to pinpoint why this happens. Opposites may attract but if this theory is anything to go by, that only applies to personality traits and characteristics.

What the scientists have found however, is that this is a good sign.

Which is probably why most of our favourite couples are still together.

Like the Kumalo's. Bassie and Romeo who looked like each other back when they first got together and they kinda still do look alike.

The Fergusons could also pass for brother and sister if they weren't one of our favourite couples.

Mr and Mrs Ranaka were actually the inspiration for this article because at first, we couldn't decide whether their kids looked more like mom or dad. We then realized that we couldn't decide that because mom and dad also look so much like each other! One could easily mistake Ma' Siba's mother for Ntate Ranaka's mother.

Ayanda Thabethe and her bae, Mthoko 'Dash' Mkhathini also look alike.

Even with her surgical enhancements and new complexion, Khanyi still looks a little like her boo - Tebogo Lerole

The team was a little divided on this one. Do Unathi and Thomas look alike?
