Chris Brown and his insensitive Ebola tweet

Being extremely famous might seem like a dream for most of us, but as we’ve witnessed many times, it can turn out to be quite the opposite. Sometimes something as routine as taking to your Twitter account to air your opinion can lead to headlines around the world.

The celebrity in question today is Chris Brown…again. The artist just cannot seem to catch a break. This time around, Brown caught the attention of Twitter users all over the world when he took to his page this morning to tweet, “I don’t know…But I think this Ebola epidemic is a form of population control. S**t is getting crazy bruh.”

As soon as I saw this tweet, I remember thinking, “uh-oh, here we go”. It was only a matter of minutes before Browns fans started commenting on his tweet, many of them agreeing with the star, with one follower even calling the Ebola virus, “man made like AIDS”.

Brown soon followed the tweet with another, saying, “Let me shut my black ass up!”

Ebola has already killed thousands of people since the outbreak started earlier this year. This is quite a sensitive topic around the world at the moment. So is Chris Brown wrong for airing his opinion? Or is everyone else just overacting?
