The news of someone's passing can never be easy, especially when that particular person touched many lives with their presence.

The legendary actor passed away in a car accident in the month of March.

Mandla Hlatshwayo

Former Generations actor & Jozi FM DJ - Mandla Hlatshwayo passed away in May after being gunned down at a pub in Soweto.

Ray Phiri

Ray Phiri

Legendary singer - Ray Phiri also left us this year in July after succumbing to his battle with lung cancer.

Dumi Masilela

His death was probably one of the most shocking entertainment news of 2017. Dumi passed away in August after being gunned down during a hijacking attempt a few months after getting married to the love of his life - Simphiwe Ngema.


Kwaito singer, Tsekeleke also passed on in August a day before Dumi's death.

And just when we thought that the year was going to end on a happy note, we learned of the passing of Robbie Malinga.

In a recent press conference, Malinga's family confirmed that the cause of his death was due to him being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

May their souls rest in peace.
