Today we are acknowledging our favorite media personalities doing great things across the board in the media industry. So please, no "open up the industry" talk because these stars work hard and deserve every job that comes their way.
Get ready to be inspired because here they are:
Dineo Moeketsi came to the entertainment scene when she took over from Nonhle Thema as the as host of the Channel O music show O-Access. Her shine didn't end there, Dineo managed to branch out into acting and conquer it. She is both a soapie and a movie star, and please don't tell us you haven't seen her slay her role on the proudly South African romantic comedy movie Mrs. Right Guy. On top of all that, she is also a singer... Thatha Dineo!
Thando Thabethe won many hearts with her role as Nolwazi on the SABC1 daily soapie Generations: The Legacy, and no sista, this role is not the only thing she has going on in her life. Thando is a radio DJ, television host and the first ever African brand ambassador for Nivea.
Hate her or love her, Dineo Ranaka is the best. Do you remember her on season 1 of the weekend celebrity gossip show, Real Goboza? To say she was a good presenter would be an understatement. She rocks whatever radio show she is on, and she will forever be our favorite reality show star because nobody does reality quite like her. She is also fashionably forward with her clothing line called LUV DR.
DJ Sbu is the number 1 hustler in South Africa. His name has been dragged through the mud, we don't know how many times and through it all he managed to come out tops. He started on Y-FM with his unforgettable radio show, Y-Lence and has since branched out to music and slayed the music industry. We honestly don't think there will be another person that does justice to presenting Friends Like These the way Sbu did. This media all-rounder also has a book, an energy drink and a foundation under his wing.
All they do is win, win, win no matter what!
Mandla Ngcongwane and Tumi Masemola also deserve an honorable mention. After years of blessing South Africa with their top hits during their time as Gang of Instrumentals and keeping viewers laughing out loud from City Ses'la to Ses' Top La - they now give us award-worthy drama in the form of Mzansi Magic's Lockdown as well as hilarious TV adverts produced by their company Black Brain Productions.
This is great excuse to get back on the gram! BBP scooping up 2 awards for the Uzogwala AD! Shout out to the BLACK BRAIN TEAM! #blackbrain @rea_tvcrazy @scottrosspoststampstudios @manq011 @trevorgumbi @skhumba_official @kamokeswa @mikadori @ngwazilubisi @tumifromthegang @the_annelie @sassysindi @zikona_missdee #blessedandhighlyfavored
