Masechaba Ndlovu has launched a new project inspired by the numerous break-ins she experienced last year.
2019 was not the best year for crime in the country. It was almost every week the country wakes up to RIP hashtags that had many women chanting 'Am I Nexr?'
The way crime is escalating, one no longer feels safe in these streets. You would think home is the best place to be away from all the crime, however for media personality Masechaba Ndlovu , crime followed her right in the comfort of her home.
She experienced crime first hand in the past year and Masechaba took to social media to open up about her ordeal.
After 5 armed men got into her house plundering, leaving her and her family in shock, 2 months later they faced the same ordeal and her children and nanny had to escape through the windows.
Masechaba is now taking a stand for victims of crime like herself. The emotional support she received from supporters and social media users was not enough. She was prompted to do something for people who have experienced the emotional trauma.
Masechaba has come up with an initiative called My Personal Lifeline. A unique product designed to empower people and provide them with some professional help. It can also be used by people who could find themselves in the same predicament.
In an Instagram post, she shared a video where she lets people in on the product and captioned the video "After one of the toughest years of my life, I have decided to take back my power. So can you."
She details all the things that happened on those two separate occasions and thanks the neighbours and brave 11 year old son, for them escaping unscathed.
