It's been six years since Jub Jub's life turned upside down after him and friend, Themba Tshabalala were convicted for culpable homicide after they ploughed into a bunch of school children whilst drag racing under the influence of drugs.
The results of that tragic day ended in the deaths of four children and left another two brain dead.
In the middle of the year, Jub Jub had initially applied for parole for October but the plea to gain parole was denied.
The publication revealed that the Correctional Supervision and Parole Board sitting between Leeuwkop and Baviaanspoort Management where both men have been held separately held a meeting on the 24th of November to consider the in-mates parole request.
The magazine article read:
"After careful consideration of the case files of the two offenders, a decision was taken to place both offenders on parole as from 5 January 2017..."
The two prisoners were initially each sentenced to 20 years in prison for murder but after a second appeal Jub Jub and Themba's sentence was then reduced to 10 years each as both men were said to be guilty for culpable homicide and not murder.
Jub Jub is said to be looking forward to spending time with his son, Christian whom he fathered with singer, Kelly Khumalo.
