Sway has always had a soft spot for South African artists. So it came as no surprise when he invited our own modern day SA music greats to spit their game. And boy did they spit.
First up was Kwesta and Kid X. Apart from an awkward start and some awkward silences the crowd was very receptive even going as far as raising their fists in unison wth Kwesta and Kid X during the performance of 'Spirit'. The pair performed Kid X's 'Aunty'. Check it out below
Supa Mega also got a chance to be on Sway's stage. His performance was very short, probably because of him not having a voice, but still extremely impactful. He performed his collabo jam with Anatii 'Don't forget to pray' and dropped an acapella of his verse from the hit. Check his performance out below
SXSW is starting to embrace more African artists and we're here for it. We do wonder who's got next though. Guess we'll only see next year.
