Being in the public eye is not easy. While there are a lot of perks, there are also a lot of not-so-nice things that happen to celebrities. Just ask Lerato Kganyago who has worked very hard to make a name for herself in the industry.
Lerato, who now hosts The Bridge (The Front Row's replacement) alongside Dineo Ranaka thinks it's amazing that every time she makes a move, everybody goes insane.
"Positive and negative," she told Pearl Modiadie and Amon Mokoena on Metro FM's The Great Escape recently.
Despite the negativity, Lerato is in a good space. "But right now in my life, the way I'm so content, I focus on the positive."
Lerato also mentioned that she feels like God is using her. "A lot of women, even the ones in the industry - some of the actresses, some are deejaying - come to me and they're like 'you actually helped me get over the fear of doing what I've always wanted to do. You stepped up, you said I'm gonna do this thing, the whole country shook again, and look at you'."
Lerato also made it clear that if you listen to what people say you're not going to get anywhere.
"And that's where I am right now in my life. I'm doing everything that I love, and I'm not questioning where God has placed me. You can question it, that's you. But when I sit down with my God, I say 'it is well with my soul'."
