Another fruit of the MTV Base VJ search, Nomzamo Mbatha is a South African Actress and TV personality best known for surviving one of the toughest competitions and making it to the top 3 finalists in 2012.

Having grown into a fan favourite, the TV personality has hosted a fair amount of shows including All Access Mzansi, BET A List, the prestigious Veuve Clicquot Masters Polo as well as a profound acting career with roles like Thandeka Zungu on Isibaya, Umlilo and Lockdown.

Born in KwaMashu , North of Durban, the hardworking actress has received several award nominations including The Best Actress nomination at the African Movie Academy Award (AMAA).

However the actress has since broadened her territory into directing with her first project being Ncese, a film she both directed and starred alongside some of her Isibaya co-stars.

Also a qualified accountant from the University of Cape Town, Nomzamo is not just a pretty face, she is well endowed educationally and that right there is some black girl magic to talk about.

To top it off she has served as the ambassador for several brands including Neutrogena, Puma and Audi.

Talk of black excellence, Nomzamo is also a philanthropist who believes in positively contributing to the society and as the ambassador for United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, she took time to campaign for and assist refugees in different African countries as well as donating thousands towards charity.

With a rose named after her for her global advocacy for refugees and a stunning cover on Cosmopolitan’s first ever activism issue, the 28-year-old is surely doing something right.

However, we cannot conclude a conversation on Nomzamo without bringing her ‘relationship’ with Maps Maponyane as the two were a media favourite until their rumoured break up which has neither been confirmed or denied, however with these celebrity relationships, we can never know what they have up their sleeves.

With less drama and more productivity, the star chooses to rather focus on other important things in her life including globally promoting brand Nomzamo as well as her humanitarian works to change the world.
