According to Sunday Sun, Phelo Bala is now a qualified sangoma and he has been getting full support from his family. His brother Zwai Bala said, “We’re proud of him, we’re supportive as a family.”
Phelo, who is presently based in the Eastern Cape, is the youngest sibling of Zwai and Loyiso Bala.
A family member said he has at long last acknowledged his calling to turn into a sangoma.
The Former Joyous Celebration member stunned friends and families when he vanished for about two months, this took place just before their outing to Cameroon.
While numerous members were occupied with attempting to orchestrate their visas for the trip, Phelo was relaxed.
“He clearly knew he wasn’t going to be part of the show,” said the source.
The source also mentions that weeks ago, Phelo sent a letter to organizer Lindelani Mkhize to thank him for the opportunity of being a part of Joyous Celebration.
“He was not specific in his letter, except that he said that he was pursuing other opportunities and needed to grow as an artist,” said the source.
Phelo told his close friends that, following a bout of sicknesses that doctors and specialists couldn't pinpoint, he chose to consult a sangoma who let him know that he has a calling.
Another family member said: “He’s now happy in the Eastern Cape and has made peace with the situation.”
