We all know how disrespectful people can be on social media and sometimes it is how you react that can either empower or disempower you from all the negativity on these social media platforms.
One person who has figured how to regain her power back from all the cyber bullying she’s experienced, is media personality and model – Refilwe Modiselle.
Refilwe recently shared how she’s learned to use the ugly comments to her advantage saying:
“I don’t know how many times I have had people call me ugly man, from all over the world yazi, and you know, the older I’ve grown the more I’ve had to learn to be immune to it ’cause beauty is relative at the end of the day. So being called ugly is the reason I’m the light I am today.”
Her comment resonated with many ladies who have also experienced being called ugly. One lady commented by saying that being called ugly used to affect her while growing up but now that she is comfortable in her own skin, the comments hardly affect her anymore.
