The return of Mzansi Magic’s drama series Rockville returns on our television screens with more drama and most importantly new faces who’ve joined the cast for more compelling home grown entertainment.
Rockville will now air on Sundays from the 9th of February 2014. Most viewers will be delighted to see some of the newcomers which include hunk Clint Brink who takes on the role of “Trevor” and another dashing handsome man and all-round entertainer, Masego “Maps” Maponyane who plays the role of “TK”
We're also to expect appearances from veteran actor Owen Sejake who’s had roles in locally renowned shows such as Yizo Yizo and Zone 14 as well as accomplished actress Tango Ncetezo whom we’ve seen sharpen her acting skills in shows like iNkaba and A Place called Home.
“The high calibre of acting talent that is joining the already acclaimed cast is testament to the show’s impact within the acting community of Mzansi,” says M-Net Director: Local Interest Channels, Yolisa Phahle.
The Executive producers of the show, entertainment power couple Connie and Shona Ferguson also had excited about the second season which seems to be full of surprises and dark scandal.
“We are very excited about the second season of Rockville. We were inspired by the positive response we got from season 1 and pushed the boundaries to deliver an even better season. Rockville season 2 is darker, edgier and sexy. Each episode will keep the audience wanting more.
Whilst "JB" is fighting for his life on the surgeon’s table, "Mavis"battles her own demons as she confronts the terrible reality of what she has done – shooting the man her daughter, "Lindi Mabaso" (Mbali Mlotshwa) loves. While Mavis’ son, "Oupa" (Lehasa Moloi) moves mountains to save his mother from jail time.
Trust us, you do not want to miss the second season of Rockville starting on the 9th of February on Mzans Magic.
