South African comedians Marc Lottering, Siv Ngesi, Tumi Morake, Nik Robinowitz, Karl Waistie and Alan Committie are set to take London by storm in a three-night show at the New Wimbeldon Theatre.

The theatre, which seats up to 1600 people, has hosted touring shows like The Rocky Horror Show, Cats and The Starlight Express.

The show will be headlined by Marc Lottering, who will be returning to London for the second time this year. Lottering told Times Live, “I’m always surprised at how I am able to survive there with that sort of exchange rate. A glass of wine ends up costing you about R150, so I hope the audience will enjoy the show so much they will offer to buy me drinks.”

He also took note of the fact that many of his audience members would probably be expatriates, saying, “I can’t use too much slang because there are foreigners, but the expats always want to hear the local language.”
