2017 is without a doubt the year of tying the not. Dozens of ZAlebs said goodbye to the single life and hello to a lifetime of happiness, laughter, ups and downs and most importantly a lifetime of love together with the one person they love most.
They say the wedding day is the one day in which a girl finally realises her childhood dream of becoming a princess. Yes its maybe about the groom a little bit because I mean if he didn't propose then this wedding wouldn't be happening but come on, let's get real for a minute, all the guests are there to see the brides dress. The dress in which she spent years dreaming about, the dress in which she should only have to wear once and the dress that takes the grooms breath away when she walks down that aisle to join him in this journey called life.
Here's a list of some of our favorite wedding dresses from 2017.
Minenhle Dlamini Jones
Because she's the latest to say I do, Minnie's dress is first on our list. The strapless ball gown was absolutely breathtaking, we're sure Quinton didn't shed a tear when Minnie walked down the aisle.
Her umembeso dress was just as beautiful, a true Zulu Queen. indeed.
This strapless ball gown by Gert Johan Coetzee is Mrs Maphumulo's first dress that she walked down the aisle to. The dress was definitely fit for a queen and Enhle Mbali Maphumulo took our breath away.
So some of you got mad at Entle for wearing her wedding dress to the DSTV Viewers Choice Awards but come on, this crystal-studded, A-line dress couldn't be worn once.
This day will be the day Simphiwe Ngema cherishes forever. While other women have their husbands to go through wedding pictures with, Simz will always remember the love and not the loss.
Nkateko Takkies-Dinners took a different root with her dress and ditched the traditional white dress for a dusty pink A-line with a very detailed top.
Florence Segal took the typical traditional wedding attire to a hole other level. Her blue and white traditional outfit from Africa Fashion House fit her like a glove.
Sara Langa Mackay dress didn't disappoint either, from her traditional attire to her Gert Johan Coetzee gowns, now she put up a show for her guests.
Another one of our favorite traditional weddings is that of former Generations actress Xoli Zondi, umakoti nomkhwenyana looked in love in their maroon ensemble.
Her wedding might have been out shined by Minnies as they both happened on the same weekend but Sthandwa Nzuza was also in a ball gown when she said I do.
There are way too many dresses for us to fit in one article, be on the look out for part two and see if you can find a dress that you'd see yourself in on your big day.
