Tony Kgoroge to replace Mpumelelo Bhulose

Instead of completely removing Mpumelelo Bhulose's character from Imbewu after he got fired, the show's producers are rumoured to be looking to replace him with Tony Kgoroge.

According to Sowetan, sources close to the production said Kgoroge was in Durban recently to shoot scenes and is expected to start appearing on the show next month.

When contacted about the role Kgoroge confirmed that he is in the running for an eTV project but would not want to say anything further until all the paperwork for the project is in place.

"I can confirm that I am doing a production for but I cannot talk about it at the moment because I have not signed a contract. But it is not Imbewu," Kgoroge told the publication.

The show's publicist also did not deny the reports, stating instead, "the official announcement regarding new talent on Imbewu will be made in due course."
