Zahara has had a pretty incredible career, her debut album sold more than 100 000 copies in 19 days, however, the singer has been surrounded by controversy since she came into the spotlight.

According to Drum, Zahara was given R2 million by the department of Arts & Culture to arrange a sports day event and buy school uniforms for needy children but the star has not delivered the uniforms.

A Drum source said that Zahara has been ducking and diving, "it's June and winter is starting, she said that she would come with the minister of Arts & Culture but still nothing."

The magazine alleges that Zahara has not delivered on the shoes, jerseys and uniforms she promised 20 of the schools poorest students.
