Yesterday's designer of the day opened up fashion week with a fire menswear collection. Reign was one of the designers picked to compete in the Mini Cooper Menswear Scouting Competition. They showed a unisex menswear collection mixing hard and soft textiles and silhouettes.
This collection ended up winning the Mini Cooper menswear scouting competition! The 26 year-old Shaylene Paige's brand took away the coveted prize with her relaxed streetwear collection with a twist. Each item features x-ray scans incorporated in to the design.
The Durban University of Technology offers its students a chance to get ahead of their competition and get their names out in the fashion industry early. The show saw a group of the school's top designers showing their latest capsule collections. From the craftsmanship to their clearly high level of fashion knowledge, they reminded us that the future of local fashion is indeed safe.
The go-to designer for the likes of Nandi Madida showed his latest collection. Ryan Keys showed a parade of gorgeous bridal gowns perfect for any upcoming summer weddings. There was a little bit of everything from lace to feathers expertly designed to make any woman feel like a goddess on their big day.
