Last week, after the Gqom' artist trended on social media platforms for cyber-bullying songstress Lady Zamar over her acne, Babes claimed that she was hacked and the voice heard in the video was not her.
But she has since backtracked and admitted that the woman who is heard hurling insults at Lady Zamar is indeed her.
According to TshisaLIVE, the first lady of West Ink admitted to her cringeworthy ways in an interview with Drum.
Babes explained that she was just upset and didn't mean to take it as far as she did.
“Yazini (You know what)? I love Lady Zamar and she knows that. I was just upset by the comments she made to some of the contestants on Idols, but I understand I shouldn’t have sworn at her or made fun of her face. I used to have pimples too," she said.
Babes' manager and sister Nondumiso Simelane was also contacted to comment on her admitting to shading Lady Zamar.
"She does acknowledge that she was the one mocking Lady Zamar and has apologised. She also maintains that she was hacked a few days ago but we fixed that and she is back to her old number. The matter is now in the past."
At this point, we do not know if Babes apologized to Lady Zamar, but we will have to wait and see.
