Babes and co. were accused of assaulting a woman during a house party last month (just days after the Mampintsha saga) and the woman in question has since opened a case against Wodumo, Tipcee and everyone who was involved. As a result, the trio were due to appear in court this Friday and when they missed their court date, the NPA applied for a warrant of arrest which was granted soon after:
According to NPA Spokesperson Nataha Kara, the warrant was issued on Friday afternoon:
"The accused and her attorney didn't show up in court today. The prosecutor has applied for a warrant of arrest for the accused."
It's alleged that Babes Wodumo couldn't make it to court because she was experiencing car trouble, following a late night gig on Thursday.
As you can imagine, social media users were READY to respond to the latest chapter in Babes Wodumo's never-ending sagas.
It hasn't been a good week for the much-maligned singer. Babes found herself trending last weekend after she was videoed performing Mampintsha's song. Many of her biggest fans felt betrayed by the fact that she made light of the abuse she suffered at her former manager's hands, especially in the face of the nationwide support she received when the incident occured.
This story is currently developing and we will update you as and when we have further information about Babes Wodumo's impending arrest.
