In true Cassper Nyovest fashion, the trying businessman has managed to somehow turn the deserved growing global visibility of Nigerian acts (and AfroBeats) into something about him. The star tweeted that he now "he was Nigerian".
Cassper probably saw this going how his self serving tweets usually do but what he didn't see coming was how his own fans took it! In the tweet he still acts like he doesn't get apt support when he is one of the biggest selling hip-hop acts in the country! Cassper has thousands of fans supporting his music and events with their hard earned money. Many fans took this very personally.
Others used the trending topic to Cassper's apparent identity crisis. Tis is not the first time that the act is ready to abandon his core audience to chase what looks glittering and lucrative to him. The star was seen on social media clowning his own mother tongue, seTswana, when he started including isiZulu in his raps. This was for the promotional tour for the disappointing #FillUp: Moses Mabhida last December.
The conversation reached ZAlebville and obviously what is a Cassper dragging without AKA commenting? The rival rapper immediately came to his home country's defense stating that it is wrong to denounce your own people for whatever is trending.
We hope that Cassper figures out who he wants to be and quick before he loses even more of his fans!
Cassper gives up on A-Reece?
