Cassper Scoops Nigerian Nomination

Cassper Nyovest's international recognition just got a massive boost after the rapper scored an impressive nomination at the upcoming Net Honours in Nigeria; an awards show which recognises the phenomenal efforts of people across various industries.

Think of the #NetHonours as the Nigerian version of the People's Choice awards; a media-led awards show that ultimately represents the views of the people. For Cassper to be recognised at this year's Nets says a lot about his influence in Nigeria and the rapper could not hide his delight when he took to the timeline to celebrate the big news.

Cassper is nominated in the "Most Popular African Celebrity" award category alongside the likes of Sarkodie and Juliet Ibrahim for Ghana, Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania and Victoria Kimani from Kenya. As soon as he learned of the nomination he took to Twitter to boast,

"Oh we popular like that now? Alright!"

This marks Cassper's latest award nomination after he scooped a SAMA 25 nod despite the fact that he didn't even submit himself for the national awards show. Cassper's Fill Up Orlando Stadium DVD found itself nominated under the "Best Live Audio Visual Recording" category alongside several worship recordings. The crazy thing is, he has a chance of winning an award that he has very publicly denounced in the past!

Cassper has had a lot to say about his career over the last few months and we have a feeling if he walks away with both of these awards we're going to hear even more about them.

Do you think Cassper Nyovest is going to win at the #NetHonours and #SAMA25?
