Earlier this year Caster Semenya had South Africans rallying behind her when the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) introduced a new rule that would force the gold medalist to take medication to lower her testosterone levels, but Caster is not going down without a fight.
Caster Semenya is set to take legal action against the IAAF for their "discriminatory" rule and she's teamed up with renowned lawyer, Gregory Nott to confront the unfair rule.
Semenya and her lawyer put out a joint statement yesterday confirming this: "This is a landmark case concerning international human rights and discrimination against women athletes with major consequences for gender rights which are jealously protected by the South African Bill of Rights...Ms Semenya will today file the legal challenge to ensure, safeguard and protect the rights of all women."
