Mzansi Magic's Isithembiso has been on air for a few weeks & it has already created a lot of buzz, it is one of our latest TV obsessions & viewers can't get enough.

People have been praising the casting director for opening up the industry & introducing us to new faces.

One of the breakout stars of the show is 21 year old Nandi Mbatha who plays the role of Simi, an innocent girl from KZN who comes to Johannesburg in search of a better life, speaking to ZAlebs, the rising star revealed how she got the role that changed her life, " I saw a casting call on Linda Mtoba's Instagram page, and as I was reading the brief, it sounded like a role I would understand and play, it had my name written all over it."

"When I got to the auditions, I had to kiss Zamani Mbatha right after meeting him, it was so awkward, I was so nervous but I guess it is part of the job." she added

The actress has no previous acting experience, this was her first audition and she got the job, "I took a bus to Johannesburg just to try my luck and it worked."

She says that she was really intimated by working with Hamilton Dlamini & Chichi Letsoalo, "I grew up watching these people on TV, I could not believe that I had gotten the role, it is still surreal, but everyone is nice and they all give me great advise on how I can improve my craft."

Speaking of how her life has changed since becoming famous, she said, "it feels weird when people recognize me, I do not know how to react but I enjoy it, it is something you can never get used to."

Naturally, she has been getting a lot of attention from guys that want to date her, but unfortunately, she is in a relationship, "I have someone special, it's going good, he actually supports me a lot, I am happy & that is all I can say for now."

This young lady is well on her way to becoming a household name & we can't wait to see her blossom into a superstar.
