Celebrities aren't just famous individuals but people who have spotted opportunities in finding ways to make money through various avenues.
If there's one thing we've come to respect about South African celebrities is that they have managed to identify opportunities in the market where there was none.
At the rate in which these celebrities are making money, it honestly would be shocking to wake up one morning to the news that some of them have gone broke without a pot to piss in.
Here are a few celebrities we know who have managed to either rake in an endorsement deal or create their own product to sell back to the masses.
Thando not only purchased a Range Rover Evoque for herself but she also partnered with the car brand to promote the Range Rover Evoque convertible campaign and we're sure she was paid handsomely for this campaign.
Just this week Thando Thabethe also announced that she is soon set to launch her own lingerie line named The Thabooty's.
Remember when Kabelo collaborated with Reebok to give us the Bouga Luv sneakers? That was major back in the day, a kwaito artist with his own sneaker? Now that is what we call a power move.
Pearl Modiadie also recently scored herself an ambassador deal with Optrex eye care.
Pearl was also the first celebrity ambassador for the Shoprite Big Brand Beauty Extravaganza campaign. We can only imagine how much she got paid for that deal. Partnering with a major supermarket means big cheques and even more opportunities.
This collaboration between MTN and Cassper Nyovest was probably the most expensive deal in 2016. Cassper shut down the game when he introduced his own cell phone.
Then, of course, he has his own Cassper Nyovest Merchandise which he sells at his own Family Tree Store in New Town, then there's also the Ciroc deal as well.
Remember when Bonang sold her own handbags called Baby Star? Then she moved on to grown and sexy stuff when she released her own lingerie line - Distraction and then there's the Courvoisier deal.
Riky Rick's timing is always perfect, it's winter and he knows some men don't take care of their skin when it comes to moisturizing their skin so he decided to collaborate with Vaseline to show men the light.
