The Huku hitmaker performed at Constitutional Hill this past weekend alongside Sjava and Msaki. The free event is the second edition of the Human Rights Festival in celebration of 25 years of South Africa’s Democracy.
During her performance the musician walked off the stage to interact with her audience and show them some love which many enjoyed. Things however took an interesting turn when one fan was so overwhelmed by a hug he received from the super star that he fainted.
Sho Madjozi took to Twitter to share a clip of the moment captioning it:
“Look what happened at Con Hill this past Saturday. 😂😂😂😍😍 tell this person I love them.”
Many twitter users stated that they would probably react the same way if they had received a hug from the Tsonga performer.
Whereas others savagely laughed at the guys reaction.
Sho Madjozi is a rising star who many relate to due to her authentic music style which has put South African language Xitsonga on the map. During an interview with Tshisa Live she shared that she believed her success comes from making music that she would want to dance to at home.
"I've never felt pressure to be something I am not or to make music that other people will like. I think I have got this far because I make music that I like. I make music that I would dance to if I was at home. That's what means the world to me."
The star was also thanked for promoting and deepening a Human Rights Culture through her music by the Minister of Arts and Culture Nathi Mthethwa.
“As we continue celebrating the International Year of Indigenous Languages we also shed light on the role played by Xitsonga Musician & Rapper @ShoMadjozi in promoting the Xitsonga language through her music thus offering an authentically African experience to the world at large,” he shared.
We have no doubt that her influence will continue to grow stronger among fans.
