More details have emerged about why Metro FM DJ Tbo Touch has not been on air.
According to a Sunday World report, Tbo Touch cost the SABC R15-million when he refused to do a live read, referring to his popular radio show as The Hyundai Rush Hour - as per a sponsorship deal.
A source told the paper that Hyundai terminated its contract following Tbo’s on-air shenanigans.
His problems do not end there. Touch is also in trouble for allegedly introducing a new gospel segment without permission and being involved in a “physical confrontation” with one of his producers, according to the publication.
It’s not the first time the Metro FM DJ has landed himself in hot water.
He refused to do a telephonic interview with Cassper Nyovest after the rapper informed him that he couldn’t make it for a live interview due to scheduling conflicts.
Touch took it upon himself to cancel the entire interview.
He has managed to come out unscathed in the past, but could this be the final straw for the SABC?
However, Tbo Touch has a great following and people want him back on air as in yesterday.
Here are a few comments from people on his Instagram account.
To be honest we also miss Tbo Touch on air, but him coming back on air is not our decision to make.
