#GirlsWithVineyards - social media reacts to Bonang's post

Yesterday, one of South Africa's foremost media personalities, Bonang Mathebashared some ambiguous social media posts (as she usually does) to allude to what her next move might be and kept using the hashtag #GirlsWithVineyards

In a previous article, we stated she did so to "allude to the fact that she may have bought a vineyard, or she's heavily considering it."

Some of her followers and other social media users assumed that this meant that she had bought the wine estate and began to congratulate her.

One Twitter user however was not so quick to jump the gun and opted to contact the vineyard in order to verify the assumption...

I just got off the phone now with the people at Rust En Vrede Wine Estate and I can safely confirm that Bonang_M did not purchase the Wine Estate or any piece of it.
