And her family couldn't be more proud of this great milestone she's reached not only for herself but for the betterment of young girls across the country.
Lynn Forbes who is also an ambassador of the 2018 Trek4Mandela Expedition confirmed that she was planning on summiting Mount Kilimanjaro in the aim to raise R1million in aid of Caring4Girls, an organisation that supports economically disadvantaged schools in the country.
A few days ago, she and the likes of Letshego Zulu took on the challenge to summit the mountain.
And just yesterday, her son, AKA confirmed that his mom had arrived safely at the top of the mountain and shared a Whatsaap screenshot of his mom confirming the great news.
“Always knew you’d be on top again. Supa Mega she on top again!” #Trek4Mandela CONGRATULATIONS MOM! ❤️ Super insanely proud that you set your mind to it, and you did it! It’s been your dream to climb Kilimanjaro for YEARS & YEARS!!! Can’t believe you actually went ahead and did it!! 😂😂😂 What a crazy, driven, inspiring Mom. I love you. ❤️💕 PS. When we were younger Dad used to play us that Johnny Clegg song, “I’m sitting on the top of KILIMANJARO, I can see a new tomorrow!” ... 🎶🎵🌁” Listening to it right now 😋😋😋
Congratulations Lynn Forbes!
