Trevor Noah recently posted a picture of himself on Valentine’s Day having a meal with a dummy image of him and captioned, “Sometimes you gotta treat yourself. Happy Valentine’s Day!,”
Trevor, however, got himself an early birthday present in form of a mansion worth $20 million. TMZ in January reported that the property which is on 1.31 acre is located on a hillside lot in Western Bel-Air, on a quiet cul-de-sac, an infinity swimming pool and a home theatre amongst other things.
In honour of his birthday, here are some of his achievements so far. In 2002, at just eighteen, he bagged a small role on an episode on the SABC 3 soapie Isidingo (The need). From Isidingo, Noah started his own radio show called Noah’s ark on YFM.
In 2004, Trevor hosted an educational TV programme on SABC 2 called Run the Adventure for two years and in 2007 he hosted SABC 1 celebrity gossip show Real Goboza and Siyadlala, a sports show on SABC 1.
A year later, the energetic comedian co-hosted a television programme, The Amazing date (a dating show) alongside Pabi Moloi and he was also a contestant on Strictly come dancing.
In 2009 he hosted the 3rd Annual South African Film and Television Awards and he later co-hosted alongside Eugene Khoza on The Axe Sweet Life a reality show.
After The Axe Sweet Life, Trevor Noah presented a show on M-net, Tonight with Trevor Noah. He also hosted the sixteenth annual South African Music Awards. In that same year, he became a spokesperson and consumer protection agent for Cell C.
In 2011, he relocated to the United States and a year later Noah became the first South African stand-up comedian to appear on The Tonight Show and the first to appear on Late Show with David Letterman.
Trevor Noah also appeared on a documentary You Laugh But It's True and he later started his one-man comedy show, Trevor Noah.
Noah’s recent work, The Son of Patricia has been trending on YouTube and many people have watched and downloaded it on NetFlix.
Trevor’s other stand up comedy episodes, which he has also produced, include The Day Walker and Crazy Normal.
With so many accomplishments under his belt, his journey has been nothing short of inspirational. We hope he had a good one...
