Thembi Seete and Bo Seritsane have been together for a long time.
The lovebirds, who keep their relationship private, seem to have found the formula to making things work.
Thembi, who’s Previdar magazine’s latest cover star, was asked how she keeps her mind open and receptive to the changes of being in a long-term relationship.
She told the online magazine: “I’ve been in a relationship for a very long time and a lot of the way I handle it has to do with how I handle me. Once you have your own life and your own definition of happiness, you don’t even see when time goes by and next thing, you’re years into something and you’ve managed to stay true to yourself and the person who loves you has managed to understand exactly what being ‘Thembi’ comes with.”

She explained that she’s not perfect. “A lot I had to learn and re-do and learn again from my previous relationships where I felt like ‘If I leave this guy, where will I go?’ I never want to be there again.
“Being okay with being alone, with silence, being okay to be at home ‘nje’ and when my partner is around, he’s an addition to that and there’s no stress about having to spend every minute together, we just do what works for us. I love hard, I care hard, but I’ve learnt to do that for me first.”
