The end is truly near for Idols season 14 remaining contestants as the top three hopefuls were announced on last nights' installment of the show.
Most will agree that last night's performances on Idols SA were simply outstanding. Prior to the elimination round, the audience was treated to snippets of behind the scenes of the top four contestants' studio sessions as they were recording their singles, courtesy of Gallo Records.
The mood quickly turned sour when fan favourite King B was eliminated. Many were left displeased, however, it seems he already has a strong fan base that will probably work to his advantage from here onwards. Last night also saw the top four hopefuls being paired with former contestants of the show. King B and Amanda Black mesmerised the audience with their collaboration.
Tying in with the theme, close collaborators, Sjava and Saudi gave a somewhat lukewarm performance of their hit single, 'Abangani'. The audience was also taken to music heaven with the uplifting sounds of Grammy award-winning gospel group, Soweto Gospel Choir.
Being on the top three surely has its perks as the three remaining season 14 finalists are heading to Dubai.
Thando has definitely earned her place in the top three hence her growth has been inspiring to watch throughout the competition. Naima Kay's 'Thando' was given a new lease of life when Thando breathed sweet melodies unto it.
Many of Thato's supporters are already yearning for his full body of work. That goes to show how impressive he really is!
Yanga came through hard last night. At this stage of the competiiton, there is defintly no denying that she is worthy of being a part of the top three.
It is not an easy feat to reach the top three of almost any competition, thertefore congratulations to these three hopefuls.
