Yanga and Thato

Wow,  how time flies. We're almost at the end of yet another riveting season of Idols SA and to say this season was just as competitive and entertaining, would be an understatement.

So here we are, left with just two contestants who have been singing with all their might every Sunday to ensure that they stay within the competition.

Although many were sad to see Thando leave, it has become evident once again that actions always speak louder than words.

Many fans of the show expressed how unfair it was for Thando to have been eliminated from the show, but was it unfair? After all, if Thando was booted out of the top two, it merely means that her supporters did not vote enough to keep her in the competition.

Now we're left with these two, Thato and Yanga, who have since released their own singles which have received positive responses from the public.

Even Yanga got a young shout out from Loyiso Bala.

A lot of Idols SA fans are of the view that Yanga might just actually walk away with this year's title, which is quite possible considering that many are in love with her vocals...

However, Yanga's supporters shouldn't count their eggs before they've hatched because although they may consider Thato to be vocally weaker than Yanga, let us not disregard the fact that some viewers are more into Thato's sex appeal more than anything and would love to see him win.

So, before you falsely predict that your favourite singer will take this year's Idols SA title, just make sure you and your friends have gone the extra mile to ensure that you voted enough.

After all, you don't want to be disappointed that your favourite contestant did not win the competition, only to find out that you and your chomies did not vote.

But then again, sometimes not winning Idols SA is a blessing in disguise, look at all the musicians who did not win, they're some of the top artists in the country now.
