Although Cassper Nyovest’s hit track ‘Tito Mboweni’ was received with mixed feelings when it was released last year, it has revived its popularity after President Cyril Ramaphosa replaced the former Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene with newly appointed Finance Minister - Tito Mboweni.
The song which went viral internationally on Tuesday was played on international news channels like CNN after the appointment of Tito Mboweni whose name is also the song’s title.
Unlike Scoop Makhathini who thinks Hip Hop music has damaged people, many tweeps are of the view that hip-hop is influential and the appointment of Tito Mboweni as the Finance Minister was pushed by Cassper's track.

Nene resigned from being the Finance Minister after disclosed at the State Capture Inquiry that he had met with the Gupta brothers on several occasions at the Gupta's Saxonwold Compound.
And of course, like the true marketing guy that he is, Cassper Nyovest to this opportunity to market his Fill Up Mabhida Stadium concert.
