They say hard work pays off, and Itumeleng Khune is certainly reaping the benefits of his hard labour.
While the Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs football star's career continues to rise, his market value has also gone up. According to Soccer Laduma, for the first time in his career, the goalkeeper is now reportedly worth around R21 million. The information was taken from Transfer Markt, a German website which focuses on all things football.
Itu, as he is affectionately known, has clearly welcomed the news with a big smile. Taking to Instagram, he shared a screenshot of the article and wrote: "Work hard and your value will always rise."
This is proof that following your dreams will always pay off. In one of his Instagram posts, Itu, who is in a relationship with socialite Sbahle Mpisane, encouraged fans to never give up. He shared a picture of himself as a young boy wearing a Kaizer Chiefs jersey with the caption: "It all stated as a dram. Follow your heart dream big don't let a moment of weakness determine your whole fate, most great inventions were just great ideas, have one pursue it, believe it. Work, Pray about and do it who knows you may be the next big thing."
