Khanyi brought back the dead but Bragga took home bragging rights

MTV has been hyping up #LSBAfrica season 2 for ages - using their first contestants, Khanyi Mbau and Nadia Nakai as the ultimate bait - and the episode lived up to they hype.

The episode kicked off with hostess Pearl Thusi introducing her new colour commentator, Nigerian firecracker, Denrele Edun.

The duo then brought out the night's first contestant, Khanyi Mbau, who promised to bring back the dead during her performance. We had no idea what she meant but once the beat dropped and we clicked that it was a Lebo Mathosa song, it all started to make sense....

That was followed by Nadia Nakai's rendition of TLC's 1999 smash hit 'Unpretty' proving what a 90's kid she is at heart.

LSB host, Thusi, then asked Nakai of the lyrics "you can buy your hair if it won't grow, you can fix your nose if he says so, you can buy all the make up the man can make" were a direct shot at Mbau...

Keeping it in the 90's, Mbau surprised us by performing girl group, 702's 1999 hit called "Where My Girls At."

Nadia then killed the show with a Busiswa song that saw her take home the title and the bragging rights.

The episode repeats this coming Sunday at 4:30pm on DSTV channel 322. If you're tuning in, share your thoughts with us @ZAlebs using the hashtag #LSBAfrica
