Losing someone that was so close and dear to you can literally cause waves of unending trauma and hopelessness. Thinking of ways to continue life without this person could prove to be an impossible journey, however, time truly does heal, doesn't it?
On July 2016, the nation was left shook with the news of the tragic and sudden passing of racing car driver, Gugu Zulu. The humble adventurer died while summitting Mount Kilimanjaro.
Among the scores of people who mourned Gugu, his wife Letshego Zulu remained one of them. After nearly three years since his passing, the fitness enthusiast has penned her journey in a form of a book titled, "I choose to live, life after losing Gugu."
The book will be released through Melinda Ferguson's publishing company, MF Books and they will be printed out this week.
Taking to social media, Letshego wrote the following: "I have been very silently, in my own time, writing my book for the past two years. It's been a challenging yet cathartic experience."
Whilst Melinda shared the following: "It's been an amazing journey that starts on a dark night on Kilimanjaro with the one and only Gugu Zulu."
Actress, Simphiwe Ngema is another local celebrity that has relentlessly kept her late husband's name alive. Simphiwe's hubby, Dumi Masilela died after being gunned down in an attempted hijacking at the East Rand.
Just last week, Simphiwe celebrated what would have been their two year wedding anniversary. Making sure that his legacy lives on, the former Muvhango actress has since released his posthumous album titled, Eternal Crush, with T-Shirts to match along.
When couples wed, there is usually a vow that goes: "Till Death Do Us Apart"...
Clearly, with Letshego Zulu, the bond she shared with Gugu will never die.
