PEARL THUSI TALKS MAKING IT BIG IN HOLLYWOOD

While this was the year that she got engaged to Robert Marawa in addition to snagging jobs as MTV Lip Sync Battle Africa’s host and a recurring role on Quantico, 2017 is actually the year that we need to look out for Pearl Thusi.

Speaking to Anele Mdoda on the SABC 3 show, Real Talk with Anele, Thusi revealed that she isn’t one to talk about the work she is putting in behind the scenes for fear of jinxing it. Which is probably why we had no idea about all the work she was putting in.

Apart from her highly publicized role in the Solomon Mahlangu biopic, Kalushi, which was finally released last month Thusi has filmed scenes for a Kagiso Lediga project titled ‘Catching Feelings’ which we will hopefully get to see early next year.

In case you were wondering, it’s that film that all the news outlets were talking about when Pearl made the film crew strip down to their undies so she wouldn’t be the only one in her skivvies for the sex scene.

According to the Internet Movie Database, Catching feelings is a dark romantic comedy which follows an urban young academic and his beautiful wife, as their lives get turned upside down when a celebrated and hedonistic older writer moves into their Johannesburg home with them.

She will also be reprising her role on Quantico as Dayana Mampisi, which we hope will lead to more international work for the star.

And to think, a few months ago, she was ready to give it all up and become a housewife. Not yet Pearl, you’ve only just begun.

And besides, who said you can’t be a kick ass wife and mom while dominating the world? If Beyonce can do it, so can you Pearl.
