Most had thought the duo had split after they took a break as a group to pursue their personal and solo careers. Twenty years later Mafikizolo gives more than just sound but culture through their interactive performances and fashion style.
In a recent interview on Trend SA the band expressed the reason for their break.
“For me I love Mafikizolo and I’ve been writing for Mafikizolo but it gave me an opportunity to write for other musicians as well and to prepare for my solo album” said Theo Kgosinkwe
Nhlanhla Nciza who owns her own vintage clothing line NN Vintage says that the break was necessary in order for her to pursue other avenues of the industry.

Having pursued their solo careers, the duo is back killing the game and have the young eating from the palm of their hand because of their music. The duo says that they are blessed to have come this far and impacted the industry the way that they have.
Advocating the message of love through their music, the Afro-pop group's sound keeps evolving as they work with well-renowned DJs that keep up with the trends, we reckon this group will still be relevant for years to come still.
