On Sunday morning, South Africans woke up to the news that Mampintsha was allegedly mobbed at the Cubana Lounge in Pietermaritzburg.
The video which went viral on social media received a lot of approval from people who still feel that Mampintsha has not yet received the punishment he deserves for physically assaulting his then partner - Babes Wodumo.
Rumours were that Mampintsha was booe'd out of the venue and taunted for performing at the event.
However, Mampintsha's lawyer has come out to clarify that Mampintsha was being welcomed into the venue and not mobbed as initially thought by the public.
Speaking to Sowetan Live, Mampintsha's lawyer - Pat Magwaza explained that what had happened was the total opposite, Mampintsha was in actual fact being received with love from the masses who expressed their joy at seeing him. He further told the publication that Mampintsha wasn't there to perform but there to have a good time.
The West Ink founder was released on R2000 bail two weeks ago after he appeared at the Pinetown Magistrate Court on assault charges that were laid against him by Babes Wodumo.
However, he had also issued a counter-assault against Babes Wodumo as well but Mampintsha has since sent an apology letter to Babes Wodumo and her family, he has also apologized to the entire nation for his actions and is said to be seeking out help for his actions.
