But Lindokuhle "Dogg Dbn" Buthelezi - who has been praised for working hard to "clean up" his image - has pulled the plug on their working relationship.
Dogg Dbn, who was Mampintsha's manager, has been critical in trying to restore his image. He was able to convince a Canadian DJ to withdraw his boycott of Mampintsha's music and debut one of his singles at some point.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, he cited "personal reasons" as his motivation to call it quits.
He further stated that his friendship with the Big NUZ star will not be compromised; also highlighting that he assisted Mampintsha out of the goodness of his heart.
“We remain good friends. I have played my part in his career and I was doing it out of the goodness of my heart. I'm extremely happy that he is fully back on track, gigging and financially stable again," he said.
Dogg Dbn is currently channeling his energy and focus on his Wine Wednesday event, as well as his businesses Taxi Live Africa and GeeGo Live (an app that gives you the best events at your finger tips).
