South Africans fell in love with this song from the moment they heard it and in the months that have followed the afro-pop banger's release has become a mega hit on the airwaves. This week we saw confirmation of the song translating the same success online. The young rapper took to social media to express his delight:
Manu Worldstar had been bubbling under as an artist for some years, but his stock rose when he appeared on Vuzu's rap-reality show, The Hustle. While he may not have won, he certainly proved to be the most successful alumnus from that season.
It is Incredible to think he achieved his widespread success in 2018 with just one single but the preparation that the rapper put into ensuring it would reach the masses has certainly paid off.
The track has received airplay around the world and with 2019 promising to be a big year for the Punchline crew with an EP and Manu Worldstar's very own project on the way you reckon it won't be long until we read about the next million.
