Known to many as Ntate Moloi from SABC 1 drama series Zone 14, Patrick Ndlovu is worthy of all the awards on offer. Every role he plays is noteworthy for an accolade and since he began acting on The Queen we can't help but continue to admire the mans work.
With an acting career spanning over four decades, Patrick Ndlovu is one of the most respected actors in the South African acting industry.
To those of you who were born when the Shaka Zulu series began airing on local television you will remember that Bab' Ndlovu played the role of Mudli an advisor to the chief of the Zulu clan and to Shaka's father, Senzangakhona.
But one of the most memorable roles of Bab' Ndlovu has to be the one of Mr. Thembu, the high school principal in Yizo Yizo.
SABC 1 drama series Zone 14 had four seasons and trust us we never got tired of seeing Bab' Ndlovu as he played the role of Ntate Moloi. He perfected this role of the villain, it was well polished from the way he used to talk, walk, dress and the look he used to give people. He always left us wanting more of him on our TV's.
You couldn't help but have a love-hate relationship with his character, you hated the character because of its evil ways but loved the actor for remaining true to the character and the craft.
This living legend has also been on numerous TV series such Gaz' Lam acting as Sfiso's uncle, season 2 of The Wild as Masilo.
He also acted in the award-winning film Cry, The Beloved Country (1995) and many other TV shows and as he made his debut on Mzansi Magic's The Queen the show has become twice as entertaining
