Metro FM: A Horrible Place To Work?

There's a saying that goes "Never burn your bridges. However, for some, it seems burning the bridges is the way to go.

South African most popular radio station, Metro FM has, in previous years, gained quite a nasty reputation for mismanagement of mostly its on-air talent. Quite recently, the heavily tattooed broadcaster, DJ Fresh was served with suspension letters as a listener laid a formal complaint against him- stating that he used unprofessional language when addressing a listener on air. 

In new twists of events, Media darling, Bonang Matheba has labelled Metro FM as a 'horrible place to work'. This comes after a Tweep innocuously inquired about the reasons behind DJ Fresh's suspension from the station.

Bonang Matheba resigned from Metro FM after a three-year stint on her mid-morning show, The Front Row. Under a dark cloud.

Other broadcasters that have bowed out from Metro FM include, Unathi Msengana and  Glen Lewis. Both cited "growth", and have truly gone on to stretch their talents.

Joining in the string of broadcasters that have left Metro FM include, multi-talented media personality, Sammy Sosa. The sultry-voiced media personality's experience on Metro FM was cut short after allegedly failing to honour her hosting duties, as at the time, she was juggling another presenting gig on Vuzu's The Hustle.
