Minnie Dlamini claps back at Drum magazine

Minnie Dlamini claps back at Drum magazine

Some stories, no matter how sensational and juicy they are, just don't make sense.

This week, Drum magazine reported that Mnnie Dlamini is struggling financially and is in debt. WTF? The weekly mag further claims that the TV host is struggling to pay her debt, has been dumped by her stylist and that her calendar is failing to sell.

Err... Is that even possible? Anyway, according to the mag, the Minnie Dlamini Foundation has also recorded a big loss. A source told Drum that Minnie apparently struggled to pay her debts. "She funded the whole project out of her own pocket. She even struggled to pay the photographer and stylist."

My problem with this whole article is that Minnie was not contacted to give her side of the story. Or maybe I missed that part? If you're going to make such big allegations the least you can do is to call the person and verify your facts. The entire expose is based on comments from sources. Really, guys?

Now I understand why Minnie took to Twitter to clap back at the mag. She wrote:

That comment alone could mean that she's taking action against the magazine. It has happened before - think of those Bonang Matheba allegations from a few years ago. The mag even had to apologise to Queen B. So, I wouldn't be surprised if they find themselves in such a situation again.

Minnie's publicist Pumza Nohashe might have alluded to the fact that trouble is coming. She tweeted:
