In just a matter of 5 weeks, singer Mlindo The Vocalist has been involved in a second car accident.
Mlindo's manager, Nyiko Bilankulu, confirmed the news to various media outlets. Detailing the accident which left Mlindo distraught, he said that it took place in the early hours of Sunday on the M2 near uMkomaas in KwaZulu-Natal.
Pictures of his black Mercedes-Benz van overturned have been circulating all over social media but thankfully the afro-soul musician was not badly injured, according to his manager.
"He is okay and we can confirm the car was badly damaged and it’s probably a write-off," he told Daily Sun.
The car was used for touring purposes. Bilankulu also spoke to TshisaLive about the accident; "Mlindo lost control of the car when he was trying to turn on a sharp curve. His car overturned but fortunately he is okay," he explained.
Explaining how emotional the Emakhaya hit-maker is, the manager said that they suggested he should recover from the trauma at his mother's place. "He's not injured but emotionally he's questioning the accident and the reasoning behind it," he said.
This traumatic experience comes a month after he sustained minor injuries from another car accident in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. This accident took place after their performance at 529 Social in Morningside, Durban on a Friday. He was admitted to hospital, however was discharged shortly after. He had asked his fans to pray for him.
Performances were temporarily halted however, a few days after being discharged he was ready to take on stages and perform. This concerned many fans as the star had suffered a near-death experience and did not take time to rest.
