Barely a month into eTV's new drama, Imbewu - The Seed, one of it's principal actors, Mpumelelo Bhulose has been fired.
According to a report published by Isolezwe, reliable sources alleged that Bhulose, who plays the role of Zimele Bhengu on the show went missing from work for three weeks straight without having a valid reason.
Producers of the show were reportedly fed up with the actor’s behaviour so his unexplained disappearance gave them the ammunition they needed to cut ties with him.
“The producers have tried to tolerate his behaviour but it’s enough now, they’ve expressed how talented he is and that it would be difficult to lose him as a talent, however, he is very stubborn and doesn’t want to be directed,” a source told the publication.
“He would arrive at his own time at work, all of this went to his head. He didn’t think that he would be fired from the show as he believed that he played a very significant role in the success of this show," added the source.
Although he had been fired ages ago, the show's cast and crew were sworn to secrecy while the production handled the matter legally.
Hmmm, this has a similar pattern to the tales of his sour departure from Uzalo.
