After hearing the unfortunate news of Trevor Noah's cancellation in hosting the 2016 MAMA's set to take place tomorrow, 22 October. Fans of the comedian and those who have brought their tickets have expressed a bit of disappointment with regards to his cancellation.
The MAMA's fortunately, came with a Plan B, announcing that it would be Bonang Matheba who would be the official host, whilst some people expressed great relief, others were not too happy with the MAMA's second choice and preferred that it be another comedian or someone else that was chosen to host the award.
So who exactly do you think would've been another suitable host for the 2016 MAMA's?
Like it or not Phat Joe is actually a very good host when it comes to award shows or any show for that matter. He's handled the SAMA's pretty well and is known to be an M.C for many corporate events.
Skhumba is definitely a crowd puller and is loved by many, he may not have had a lot of hosting gigs in the past but he maybe he could've been the host. But then again Skhumba is busy with his #FirstOfAll comedy shows across the country so it probably would've been impossible for him to host the award ceremony.
He's been nominated for Personality of The Year at the South African of The Year Awards and won the Best Presenter Awards at the South African Film and Television Awards. The Expressso presenter is known for his great zest for life and quality hosting skills and maybe he could've been the one to host the award ceremony.
Keeping in mind that the MAMA's are not only for South Africans but for all Africans maybe Nigerian comedian and actor BasketMouth would've also been another suitable host?
Let's also not write off the likes of Celeste Ntuli, we're sure some of her avid followers would agree that she would've done a good job at hosting the show.
However, regardless of this list, we have no doubt that Bonang will do an exceptional job tomorrow at the Award show.
