Nandi Mngoma is not only making headlines because of her London trip, but also her split from Universal Music. According to Sowetan, the singer has left her record label after a dispute.

The paper reported that she left the company after it failed to market her album and pay for her studio time. The Legit ambassador's situation was reportedly so bad that she had to pay for her own studio time and got Legit to pay for one of her music videos.

She told the paper: "I'm grateful to Universal for believing in me and my music from the first day that I walked through their doors. It's been a great journey, and as they say, all good things come to an end. I'm on this new path now and I feel I'm headed on the right direction."

The paper has reportedly seen a termination agreement letter from Randall Abrahams, Universal Music director, which states the terms of termination.

Nandi's manager Vista Kalipa confirmed conflict between the singer and the record label. He told the paper: "Yes, there is a disagreement between the two parties and a difference of opinion on certain matters that are privy to only Nandi and Universal."

He added that the Nandi is working on other projects and new music.
