Although very capable of handling the show alone, Bonang will now share the hosting duties with the likes of Nomzamo Mbatha and Nigerian singer Yemi Alade.
In a press conference that is currently taking place in Sandton, the MAMA's have confirmed that Nomzamo Mbatha will be joining Bonang as the host for this year's award show after Trevor Noah announced that he could not host the award ceremony due to an upper respiratory and ear infection.
In the press conference, Bonang mentioned that she received a call last night to replace Trevor Noah.
Nomzamo and Yemi are also present at the press conference.
Trevor Noah has given his blessings to Bonang and trusts that she will do a stellar job in hosting the award show. Although some of Trevor's South African fans are still disappointed that he could not make it, the Daily Show host has apologized profusely and even released an Instagram video apologizing.
He really looks in bad shape guys.
This has surely been one of the best weeks for Nomzamo also, not only has she scored a gig on one of Africa's most anticipated award shows but she is the proud ambassador of Audi too.
Life is good guys.
The MAMAs will be taking place tomorrow, 22 October at the Ticket Pro dome.
